bandv are proud sponsors of the Hampshire Venus Awards, an annual awards ceremony that acknowledges and celebrates the hard work of women in business, throughout Hampshire.

As sponsor of the Marketing and PR category of the 2017 Hampshire Venus awards, bandv hosted a special event for our fabulous semi-finalists yesterday at the SeaCity Museum in Southampton.

Our semi-finalists, who were selected by the judging panel for their outstanding achievements and their influence within the industry included the Marketing Managers from a variety of local businesses, across a range of sectors.

After a few customary photos with Tara Howard, the Founder of the Venus Awards; we began the afternoon with a guided-tour of the fascinating Titanic Exhibition.

The SeaCity Museum set in the heart of Southampton City Centre, tells the story of the lives of the people of Southampton and the impact of the city’s historic connection with the sea. The museum prides itself on bringing maritime history to life through fascinating exhibitions and an interactive experience, suitable for all ages.

After our guided-tour, it was then time for some lunch and some light refreshments which gave us a chance to chat to each of our talented semi-finalists, as well as giving them the chance to mingle with each other.

To celebrate being shortlisted for the Hampshire Venus Marketing & PR Award, all of the semi-finalists were then presented with a certificate by bandv’s Chairman Colin Breckenridge.

The 2017 semi-finalists are; Charis Hickey from Biopharma, Elaine Warriner from the Brendoncare Foundation, Emily Plummer from Benefex; Gill Blake from Ordnance Survey; Bryony Light from INDO Lighting; Hannah Powell from Meachers Global Logistics; Jo Short from the Radian Group Ltd; Katy Burgess from the Masuri Group; Kerry Smith from Raymond Brown; Lotti Eagles from Lime Wood; and Sacha Kemp from Land Rover BAR (Ben Ainslie Racing).

Thank you to the SeaCity Museum for providing a fascinating guided-tour and a delicious lunch. It was great to have a chance to celebrate with our fabulous semi-finalists and we wish them all the best of luck in getting through to the next stage of the awards.
