VTCT Skills is a market-leading specialist Awarding Organisation for the vocational and technical education sector. Their systems manage the entire certification and qualification lifecycle for over 120,000 learners and 3,000 training centres across 18 sectors.
The challenge
VTCT has a very large and complex database of clients, training centres and locations. Their core operational platform was based on a heavily customised, on-premise instance of Microsoft Dynamics and, due to the nature of the personal data involved, there is a very high degree of security involved. Significant obstacles existed: the instance's on-premise nature and stringent security protocols had caused all previous HubSpot integration attempts to fail.

Critical integration
The primary objective was to integrate the on-premise Microsoft Dynamics system, which served as the central repository for all learners, centres, sub-centres, roles, and qualifications, directly with HubSpot. This required a custom solution that could operate securely within VTCT's existing server environment without compromising their security protocols. All previous attempts by other parties had failed to meet the necessary requirements.
The integration has operated with high availability for almost a year, providing VTCT with a unified, reliable, and continuously synchronized data source in HubSpot.
